Gareth Lash
Gareth joined Eltorito as a management consultant and partner in 2016, and previously held the position of General Manager, Optimisation within the Global Ingredients Sales and Operations Planning Team at Fonterra.
With over 13 years’ experience, Gareth has vast economic and analytic expertise, having worked for many leading NZ and global organisations including Fonterra, Coca-Cola, Sainsbury’s, GSK and the Ministry of Social Development.
He specialises in financial & commercial modelling, optimisation and business planning for primary industry.
Having grown up on a sheep and arable farm in Mid-Canterbury, Gareth is a fanatical Crusaders supporter and an avid duck shooter. He and his young family now reside in the Bay of Plenty.

Scott Townshend
In 2014, Scott returned to his roots in the Hauraki Plains and established Eltorito providing a business management service for primary industry operators.
Scott has an extensive dairy industry background, having spent five years in Fonterra’s Head Office within the milk supply commercial and strategy teams, and as Commercial Manager for a 14,000-cow North Island dairy farming business. He has practical experience with large-scale corporate farming entities across NZ, Chile, USA and China.
He specialises in business planning, analytics and data modelling, and developing bespoke reporting systems.
Scott and his wife reside on a grazing block in Miranda. In his downtime he can be found cheering on the Black Caps or mapping out his life in spreadsheets.
